Market cycle analysis and economic law

This photo, taken in 1969, shows the telescope as it was around the time of the first manned Moon landing. CSIRO's Parkes radio telescope was officially opened on the 31 October 1961 by the Governor-General, Viscount De L'Isle forty years on, it is still one of the most advanced telescopes of its kind. A gigantic structure of steel and concrete, the telescope soars nearly 55 metres into the sky near Parkes NSW. It played a crucial role in receiving signals during the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969, relaying them for broadcast to an audience of 600 million around the world - cycle analysisQ: How does your system differ from a cycle analysis? Martin Armstrong seems to have been very successful using cycle analysis.
A: I do not use a system over which I claim authorship. I apply the laws of economics to the facts at hand. I use the scientific method: observation to get the facts; and, logic to properly evaluate the relevance of the facts. Where there is a dominate cycle that is “controlling” a price movement, it will also play out in a manner consistent with economic law which is not repealed by cycles. I use cycle analysis as a confirming indicator. There are frequently more than one cycle to consider and sometimes more than one possible result from a cycle movement. I am of the view that applying economic law is more secure than cycle’s analysis. Nevertheless I regularly read Marin Armstrong along with David Stockman, Mark Farber and Gerald Celente. They help to clarify the application of Ludwig van Mises and Murray Rothbard.

Q: Tomorrow will be the winter solstice. Will that cycle have an effect?
A: Yes, I will be spending less time in the office. I will start looking forward to spring: the Chinese New-year, February 8, 2016.
